Procedure
  1. Take the cardboard tube (which will act as the body tube for the rocket), and cut both ends so they are flat, leaving openings at both ends of the tube. Take a pen, and at the bottom end of the tube, make three equally distanced lines 11.5cm long. These will act as guidelines for the fins of the rocket.

  2. Take the piece of cardboard, and cut three equal pieces, 13.5 cm in length and 4cm in width. Cut these into parallelograms, the long side being 11.5 cm and the shorter side 4cm. Make the corners with an angle of 60° and 120°. Glue these onto the line drawn on the body tube, with the extra 2cm hanging off the bottom of the rocket, so that it can stand on the fins. Cut your straw to 4.5cm and glue that on in between two of the fins. Leave these all to dry.

  3. Take the garbage bag, and cut a square that’s diagonal is 2/3’s as long as the body tube (29cm). In the center of the newly cut square, cut a circle with a diameter of 8cm. This is the parachute. Attach the string to all four corners of the bag, using tape, than attach that to the bungee cord by knotting it together.

  4. Take the Styrofoam cube, and shape it using an exacto knife make the bottom 2cm, complete circular, the same diameter of the tube so that it can slide in the tube, make the remaining of the Styrofoam and shape it into a cone that is larger in diameter than the tube so that it will not slide into the tube. Attach this to your bungee cord, using glue, and than put the screw through the bungee cord and the Styrofoam to hold them together.

  5. On the other end of the bungee cord, glue 1in of paper to it, folding it three times, and than glue that to the inner part of the body tube 5cm down.

  6. Take the paper clip, and unfold it into a straight line. Line it up with the penny roller and make it so that there is a bar across the diameter of the penny roller, and glue it down, this acts as a stop for the engine. Then, lay the remaining of the paper clip along the side, leaving 4cm as over the end of it. Take the pliers, and make a hook shape to go over the other end to hold the rocket engine in place, and to be able to easily remove and place an engine inside. Place inside the rocket body tube on the same end as the fins, to fill the gap in between the tube and the roller, cut a piece of Styrofoam the same size, and glue it in.

  7. Spray paint the rocket with black spray paint, and color the nosecone with the blue maker. Outline the fins and the straw with green glitter.

  8. Place a sheet or two of wadding into the top of the rocket tube, and than stuff the parachute, bungee cord and bottom of the nosecone into the top of the rocket body. Place the rocket engine into the holder created, and make sure the hook is only touching the edge, but still securing the engine in place. Insert the igniter and the plastic plug into the engine, than place the entire rocket on the launcher.

  9. Stand back, press the button, and watch your rocket soar or fall. Record all data.
